NESTLE EVP/CTO SAYS SWITZERLAND IS GOOD PLACE FOR R&D

Nestle's Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Werner J. Bauer stresses the need to have the right environment for innovation to take hold. He told reporters in Geneva this morning "That's the beauty of doing research and development in Switzerland," adding that the food conglomerate has recently opened three new R&D centers in Switzerland for health sciences, systems, and clinical research.  Switzerland ranks #1 in the 2012 GII.

"Switzerland provides a very stable environment for innovation," Bauer continued. "The dual education system - for general education and for trades - provides an exceptional talent pool."
